TL;DR

Service Designer (Fintech): Designing seamless digital experiences for banking customers with an accent on service design practice and customer advocacy. Focus on visualizing outcomes, defining service scope, and aligning end-to-end customer lifecycles with business goals.

Location: Hybrid (Chester or Manchester, UK) - requires spending at least two days per week (40% of time) at one of the office sites.

Salary: £61,344 - £68,160

What you will do

  • Collaborate within agile teams to uncover priorities, visualize outcomes, and define service scope.
  • Shape pivotal initiatives by leveraging colleague, customer, and market insights.
  • Facilitate workshops and discussions to ensure business contexts, needs, and risks are fully understood.
  • Research and document current and future state services to enhance user propositions.
  • Partner with product owners, engineers, and other designers to create cohesive digital experiences.
  • Actively contribute to the design community to embed design principles across various product journeys.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a service designer.
  • Strong proficiency in research and design thinking methods.
  • Advanced systems thinking ability to connect products, processes, people, and platforms.
  • Experience designing from a full end-to-end customer lifecycle perspective.
  • Ability to communicate complex ideas effectively to senior technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Must be based in or able to work hybridly from Chester or Manchester.
