TL;DR

SOC Support Specialist (Cybersecurity): Acting as an intermediary between partners and the Security Operations Center to facilitate effective service delivery and incident resolution with an accent on clear communication and technical troubleshooting. Focus on translating complex security concepts into actionable guidance and managing high-pressure incident communications.

Location: Must be based in the United States (Pacific Time Zone preference).

Compensation: $50,000–$65,000 base plus bonus and equity.

What you will do

  • Provide exceptional customer support via phone, email, and chat for incident reports and escalations.
  • Translate complex SOC concepts, log data, and product behavior into actionable guidance for partners.
  • Lead calls for high-severity incidents, documenting decisions and aligning on next steps.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to clarify detection coverage and relay updates to partners.
  • Troubleshoot product issues and advocate for partner needs internally.
  • Contribute to knowledge base articles and internal runbooks to improve team efficiency.

Requirements

  • Must be based in the United States.
  • Demonstrated passion for cybersecurity, including identity compromise, phishing, and incident response.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to remain calm and solution-focused during high-pressure security incidents.
  • Experience facilitating group discussions and capturing structured timelines.
  • Strong ability to prioritize and manage a dynamic ticket queue.

Nice to have

  • MSP or Help Desk experience using Zendesk or PSA platforms.
  • Microsoft 365/Entra experience regarding identity and mailbox behavior.
  • Basic understanding of SIEM concepts, log analysis, and networking.
