Product Owner (Data Engineering)

TL;DR

Product Owner (Data Engineering): Managing the organization’s internal data tooling ecosystem as a product with an accent on ETL platform lifecycle, governance, and cost management. Focus on building standardized, self-service data pipelines and collaborating cross-functionally with data architecture, engineering, and cloud operations teams.

Location: Must be based in Warsaw, Poland (Hybrid role at Gdanski Business Center II).

Compensation: PLN 134,500 - PLN 146,400 yearly.

What you will do

• Manage and prioritize the ETL/ingestion platform backlog, defining epics and user stories.
• Analyze platform performance, identify bottlenecks, and drive improvements in ingestion and monitoring.
• Communicate roadmaps and release changes to engineering, architecture, and BI teams.
• Work with large datasets using SQL and Python to support data quality initiatives.
• Lead transformation initiatives and ensure platform deliverables meet defined acceptance criteria.

Requirements

• Must be based in or able to work from Warsaw, Poland.
• Hands-on experience with Python, Databricks, and large-scale data processing.
• Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, and system analysis.
• Ability to assess platform behavior and propose scalable technical solutions.
• Clear communication skills for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience with cloud-native data platforms, preferably Azure.

Nice to have

• 2 years of experience with ingestion platforms.
• Degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field.
