What you will do

• Direct shop employees and manage process flows to achieve maximum productivity and quality.
• Coordinate the shipping and receiving of mill rolls, including scheduling trucks and verifying documentation.
• Maintain production boards, logbooks, and job folder systems to track workload and progress.
• Train operators on safe operating procedures and enforce all plant rules and regulations.
• Inspect rolls for defects, document non-conforming products, and manage emergency maintenance.
• Operate overhead cranes to transport materials between racks and machines.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Must be based in or able to work onsite in Chesterton, IN, US.
• Mechanical aptitude and basic math skills.
• Certification in overhead crane training, Hazardous Communication, First Aid, and CPR.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
