What you will do

• Develop and execute case strategies for Scottish court credit hire litigation.
• Manage a personal caseload from inception to final evidential hearing or trial.
• Conduct negotiations with insured parties, insurers, and third-party solicitors to reach appropriate settlements.
• Maintain accurate case management and billing systems to ensure data integrity.
• Provide regular written updates to clients regarding case progress and activity.
• Ensure all file handling complies with SRA standards and ISO 9001 guidelines.

Requirements

• Previous experience managing an independent caseload.
• Understanding of litigation practice, process, and case law.
• Strong telephone negotiation and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to plan, prioritize workloads, and make independent decisions under pressure.
• Proficiency in IT systems and case management software.
• Must be based in or able to commute to Glasgow for hybrid work.

Nice to have

• Experience in credit hire litigation, preferably from a defendant perspective.
• Knowledge of Road Traffic Accidents (RTAs) and Indemnity Principles.
