What you will do

• Collaborate with business partners to translate project objectives into actionable experimental plans.
• Model protein structures to uncover structure–function relationships and design targeted mutant or diversity libraries.
• Develop and apply machine learning and protein AI models to predict and improve structure–function outcomes.
• Analyze, interpret, and communicate complex scientific results to stakeholders through reports and presentations.
• Contribute to best practices and shared computational tools within the global data science community.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive project success using modern software and computational practices.

Requirements

• PhD in Biochemistry, Biophysical Chemistry, Bioinformatics, or Computer Science.
• 2–4 years of experience in protein engineering and molecular modeling.
• Proven experience with bioinformatics tools such as Rosetta, Schrödinger, or Yasara.
• Proficiency in Python and modern computational practices, including ML tools and Unix/Linux environments.
• Strong ability to leverage literature and databases like UniProt, PDB, KEGG, or BRENDA.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills in a collaborative environment.

Nice to have

• Exposure to advanced simulations or protein AI tools.
• Experience in metabolic engineering or biocatalysis.
