What you will do

• Develop self-calibrating clamp-on flow meters and hybrid therapeutic-diagnostic ultrasound probes.
• Build and test device prototypes in collaboration with technicians and supervisors.
• Perform experimental laboratory work, numerical simulations, and wave physics analysis.
• Develop data pre-processing and interpretation techniques for autonomous data recording.
• Publish research results and contribute to the group’s educational activities.
• Collaborate with the Microelectronics Department, Twente University, and industry partners.

Requirements

• PhD degree in physics, materials, or electrical science and engineering.
• Solid understanding of ultrasound wave physics, transducers, and signal processing.
• Advanced experience in scientific programming (Matlab, Python, or C).
• Hands-on approach with experimental laboratory work.
• Proficiency in spoken and written English (C1 level).
• Autonomous attitude in research and strong interdisciplinary communication skills.
