What you will do

• Perform functional analysis and reliability assessments of waterborne digital systems.
• Analyze the impact of AI, IoT, and autonomous shipping on the cybersecurity threat landscape.
• Experiment and validate WARRANT methods and platforms within Living Labs.
• Engage with representative stakeholders to ensure safe and resilient ship operations.
• Conduct scientific dissemination and communication of research results.
• Collaborate with 13 international partners within the HorizonEurope Project WARRANT.

Requirements

• PhD degree in Fault Diagnosis, Fault Tolerant Control, Reliability-Availability-Maintainability-Safety, Risk Assessment, or Safe/Secure by design.
• Strong quantitative and qualitative modelling skills for ship systems and operations.
• Advanced programming skills.
• English: C1 level (excellent command) required for international collaboration.
• Location: Relocation to the Netherlands is required.
• Problem-solving mindset and passion for interdisciplinary research.
