What you will do
- Establish an independent experimental research line complementary to current strengths in single-molecule biophysics, synthetic biology, and quantitative cell biology.
- Secure external funding through competitive grants such as NWO Vidi or ERC StG to build and lead a team of PhD students, postdocs, and technicians.
- Provide education by teaching and developing courses for BSc and MSc programs in Nanobiology.
- Contribute to a collaborative culture by interacting with other research groups and participating in departmental management.
Requirements
- PhD in Biophysics, Biochemistry, Cell biology, Bionanotechnology, or a relevant field with post-doctoral experience.
- Outstanding scientific track record evidenced by high-quality publications.
- Clear vision for a new, independent experimental research line using advanced methodology to probe cellular life.
- Passion for education and ability to inspire students in an international environment.
- Must be able to relocate to the Netherlands.
- Obligation to obtain the University Teaching Qualification (UTQ) within three years.
