TL;DR
CX/UX Researcher (LegalTech/AI): Conducting user research to shape AI-driven solutions for legal professionals with an accent on discovery, usability testing, and translating insights into product decisions. Focus on reducing product risks around value and feasibility while managing research repositories and personas.
Location: Hybrid (Hürth/Cologne, Germany). Must be located in or able to regularly work from the Köln (Cologne) area.

What you will do
- Partner with product teams to define research goals and reduce risks regarding value, usability, and viability.
- Plan and conduct user research, including interviews, usability tests, and surveys throughout the product lifecycle.
- Analyze qualitative and quantitative data to generate actionable themes and insights for product teams.
- Facilitate workshops and research readouts to align stakeholders on product decisions.
- Curate a central research repository (Dovetail) and maintain UX artifacts such as personas and journey maps.
- Perform competitive research and benchmarking to inform product strategy and market fit.
Requirements
- 2–4 years of experience in UX research within a product or technology environment.
- Must be located in or able to regularly work from the Köln (Cologne) area.
- Fluent German and strong English proficiency are required.
- Ability to design and execute studies and synthesize complex data into clear implications.
- Experience creating and maintaining UX artifacts like personas, workflows, and journeys.
Nice to have
- Experience in B2B or enterprise software environments.
- Knowledge of product analytics tools (e.g., Pendo) and research repository tools (e.g., Dovetail).
- University degree in HCI, Psychology, Social Sciences, Design, or a related field.
