Salary: $160,000 - $240,000

What you will do

• Lead the design and implementation of guidance and navigation software for a clean-sheet airframe.
• Develop software within COTS frameworks for UAS platforms.
• Support airframe design activities and system integration on flight hardware.
• Collaborate within a small R&D team to expand product families across different aircraft types.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or higher degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field.
• 10+ years of professional experience in object-oriented software development.
• Experience with guidance algorithms for UAS platforms (e.g., ArduPilot) and practical understanding of fixed and rotary wing flight dynamics.
• Extensive experience with STM32 microcontrollers and Linux on Nvidia Jetson, AMD/Xilinx SoC, or Microblaze architectures.
• Experience developing real-time embedded software, including hardware interfaces and low-level drivers.
• Must be a U.S. Person to access U.S.-only data systems.

Nice to have

• Current or previous DoD security clearance.
• Part 107 remote pilot certification.
• Experience with EO/IR or radar sensor integration.
• Firmware development using VHDL on AMD/Xilinx FPGAs.
• Proficiency with DevOps, DevSecOps, and CI/CD pipelines using modern toolsets.
