Manufacturing Engineer (Milling) (Aerospace)

What you will do

• Develop and implement lean manufacturing processes focused on quality, cost, and delivery.
• Create machining processes for complex components with tight tolerances using CAD/CAM tools such as Siemens NX or Partmaker.
• Select cutting tools, design fixtures, and produce comprehensive shop documentation.
• Support APQP activities, including DFMEA, PFMEA, Control Plans, and MSA studies.
• Review engineering drawings for manufacturability and recommend design changes to enhance productivity and standardization.
• Provide technical support to the supply chain and mentor Manufacturing Engineers and Technicians in tooling and fixture design.

Requirements

• Degree or HNC/HND in Mechanical, Production, or Manufacturing Engineering (or equivalent).
• Significant experience in manufacturing/process engineering, ideally within aerospace or regulated environments.
• Strong knowledge of DFM, DFSS, APQP, Lean methodologies, and Zero Defects principles.
• Proven CNC programming expertise using 3D CAD/CAM (Partmaker, Featurecam, Siemens NX10.0, Vericut).
• Experience using sliding head machines (Star machines preferred).
• Exposure to advanced processes including EDM, honing, lapping, grinding, and heat treatment.
