What you will do

• Build and operate the metrics platform to ingest, store, and serve time-series data for engineering teams.
• Develop distributed tracing pipelines using OTel and Honeycomb to improve system visibility.
• Create alert quality tooling to reduce noise and improve signal for on-call engineers.
• Collaborate across the stack, including Kubernetes, observability pipelines, and web-based tooling.
• Debug complex production issues and contribute to the reliability of global-scale systems.

Requirements

• Must be based in Sydney
• Exposure to deploying, operating, or debugging real production services.
• Familiarity with observability concepts such as logging, alerting, and on-call workflows.
• Strong debugging mindset and ability to solve complex technical problems.
• Clear communication skills for cross-team collaboration.
• Willingness to work across the stack and learn new technologies quickly.

• Experience with observability tools and infrastructure.
