Software Engineer II

What you will do

• Build and operate a metrics platform that ingests, stores, and serves time-series data for engineering teams.
• Develop distributed tracing capabilities using OpenTelemetry pipelines, trace sampling, and Honeycomb.
• Build alert quality tooling for smarter routing, improved grouping, and better feedback between alerts and service owners.
• Work across distributed systems, Kubernetes, observability pipelines, and web-based tooling.
• Collaborate with engineers across the company to operate and improve production systems.

Requirements

• Curiosity about how production systems work and some exposure to deploying, operating, or debugging real services.
• Willingness to learn and work across distributed systems, Kubernetes, observability pipelines, and web-based tooling.
• Familiarity with logging, alerting, and on-call workflows.
• Strong debugging mindset and clear communication skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with observability tools and infrastructure.
• Experience with Kubernetes.
• Experience with agentic engineering.
