Location: Orrville, OH (Onsite)
Salary: $80,000.00–$95,000.00 annually

What you will do
- Identify, implement, and measure short-term department objectives aligned with the company strategic plan.
- Lead and motivate team members and coordinate support groups to achieve area objectives and department performance.
- Partner with the Process Manager to find opportunities for lean and other improvements to increase profitability, productivity, and capacity while reducing internal costs, lead times, and inventory.
- Ensure maximum utilization and efficiency of personnel and equipment to meet manufacturing schedules and delivery commitments.
- Maintain accurate production records (time reports, attendance, overtime equalization) and handle employee relations issues before they become major challenges.
- Support production standard performance by investigating variances, initiating changes, and operating/setup machines as required; perform inspections including first piece inspections.
Requirements
- Associate Degree (AS) in a related discipline, or equivalent experience.
- 3+ years directly related production environment experience, or 8–12 years of broad and diversified machine shop, special process, or A&T experience.
- Working knowledge of functional manufacturing responsibilities and supporting departments.
- Demonstrated supervisory and leadership skills with excellent communication and good judgment; ability to define and prioritize goals (e.g., reduce scrap, maintain scheduled lead times).
- Ability to build and maintain teamwork across the department, supporting departments, suppliers, and customers.
- Must be able to work onsite in Orrville, OH on the 2nd shift (Monday–Thursday, 3:00pm–1:00am).
Nice to have
- Prior machining experience.
- Ability to use hand gages and CMM.
