What you will do

• Manage the end-to-end technical lifecycle of ride and show systems, from specification and bidding to installation and testing.
• Oversee the integration of mechanical show systems, animated figures, and special effects hardware.
• Review contractor designs and documentation to ensure mechanical integrity, performance, and maintainability.
• Develop project schedules and manage budgetary demands for attraction engineering projects.
• Lead design and production reviews at vendor locations to ensure product quality and specification conformance.
• Collaborate across disciplines including audio, lighting, projection, and ride control systems.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in an applicable technical field required.
• 5+ years of experience in theme park engineering, specifically with mechanical show systems, SAE, or animatronics.
• Must be able to work full-time on-site at the designated Universal Studios Hollywood worksite.
• Proven ability to manage complex vendor relationships and develop RFP documentation.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills in non-routine, changing environments.
