What you will do
- Design mixed-signal electrical subsystems combining analog, digital, sensing, embedded, and power-management technologies.
- Define electrical architectures and make tradeoff decisions involving performance, power, reliability, manufacturability, and cost.
- Select and integrate sensors, ADCs, microcontrollers, memory, batteries, communication interfaces, and power circuitry.
- Create schematics and guide PCB or substrate development through design reviews and release.
- Define performance requirements, error budgets, calibration strategies, and measurement specifications.
- Plan and execute validation, characterization, design verification, troubleshooting, and root-cause investigations.
Requirements
- Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related technical discipline.
- At least 3 years of experience designing and developing electronic hardware products; minimum qualifications vary by degree level.
- Experience with mixed-signal circuit design, including analog and digital electronics.
- Experience creating schematics and supporting PCB design and integration.
- Hands-on laboratory experience with oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, DMMs, and related test equipment.
- Ability to independently execute subsystem designs and lead technical investigations with limited supervision.
Nice to have
- Experience with precision sensor interfaces, analog front ends, low-power or battery-powered electronics, and energy management.
- Familiarity with SPI, I²C, UART, RF, BLE, or optical communication interfaces.
- Experience with Altium, OrCAD, Cadence, PADS, LTspice, ADS, HyperLynx, MATLAB, or Python.
- Background in semiconductor equipment, instrumentation, robotics, aerospace, medical devices, industrial automation, or embedded hardware.
