TL;DR

German Document Review Attorney (eDiscovery): Perform document review and related legal support for eDiscovery projects with an accent on privilege/responsiveness review, redactions, and electronic document review workflows. Focus on applying first/second review processes, using eDiscovery platforms, and supporting project needs while maintaining active U.S. bar admission.

Location: Remote (project-by-project); Chicago, IL or Detroit, MI (project-by-project)

Salary: $50 an hour

What you will do

  • Conduct eDiscovery document review, including privilege/responsiveness review and redactions.
  • Support first and second review workflows and conceptual searching as needed per project.
  • Review and analyze electronic documents using eDiscovery platforms.
  • Provide legal research and other project support tasks as assigned.
  • Assist with foreign language translation when required by the project.

Requirements

  • Fluency in German.
  • Fluency in Hebrew.
  • Active bar admission in at least 1 U.S. jurisdiction and status in good standing.
  • Familiarity with document review workflows (e.g., privilege/responsiveness, redactions, conceptual searching, first/second review).
  • Experience with electronic document review technology (e.g., Relativity, Concordance, ViewPoint).

Nice to have

  • Experience as a member of a document review team.
  • Familiarity with Relativity 9.0 or higher.
  • 2+ years of legal support experience.
