TL;DR

Extended Services Intern (Case Management): Assisting intensive and extended case management teams with the long-term integration of refugees and humanitarian immigrants in the Baltimore area with an accent on medical and psychosocial support. Focus on facilitating access to healthcare, developing individual service plans, and conducting community-based orientation sessions.

Location: Hybrid; must be based in the greater Baltimore area and be able to work in-office at least 3 days per week.

Salary: Unpaid; eligible for $15 per day per diem and mileage reimbursement.

What you will do

  • Assist the ICM, ECM, and SOR teams in supporting the long-term integration of refugees and asylees.
  • Develop individualized service plans to meet client needs across financial, medical, and social domains.
  • Connect medically vulnerable clients to essential healthcare and psychosocial resources.
  • Coordinate transportation for clients to attend medical and required appointments.
  • Conduct virtual orientation sessions on public transportation and community resources.
  • Maintain detailed case-notes and service documentation.

Requirements

  • Fluency in English required; bilingual ability is a plus.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle with insurance strongly preferred for travel in Baltimore.
  • Interest or experience in case management, social work, or public health.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and web-based databases.
  • Ability to work at least 15 hours per week from June 8 to September 11, 2026.

  • Prior experience working with refugees and immigrants.
