What you will do

• Investigate and resolve anomalies in data processing systems.
• Support software release, deployment, and verification activities.
• Contribute to the integration, verification, and validation (IV&V) of processing chains.
• Perform testing and validation of system performance.
• Conduct system-level analysis and engineering tasks as required.
• Produce and maintain technical documentation in a configuration-controlled environment.

Requirements

• University degree in a relevant discipline.
• Demonstrated experience with UNIX/Linux environments.
• Experience with scripting languages and databases, specifically Python, shell, and PostgreSQL.
• Proven experience in data processing of Earth Observation or meteorological products.
• Experience in IV&V of data processing systems, including test plans, specifications, and reports.
• Fluency in English is required.
• Must be based in or be able to work on-site in Darmstadt, Germany.

Nice to have

• Experience in system engineering and system design.
• Knowledge of spacecraft and/or ground segment operations.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as C/C++, Java, or IDL.
• Knowledge of ECSS standards and experience with DOORS.
• Knowledge of Model-Based System Engineering (MBSE) and tools like SysML or Enterprise Architect.
