What you will do

• Build and drive the transition to a new Data Platform using Dagster, dbt, AWS ECS, and GCP BigQuery.
• Develop custom tooling for monitoring, data-checks, connectors, and CI/CD to improve efficiency for other data teams.
• Maintain and optimize high-volume ELT pipelines, moving terabytes of data from MySQL (AWS) to GBQ.
• Ensure daytime data syncs are performant and do not impact source system stability.
• Take ownership of critical core reports used as the foundation for executive board decisions.

Requirements

• Substantial experience in Data and Software Engineering with high-volume, business-critical pipelines.
• Hands-on expertise with Dagster, dbt, Google BigQuery, and AWS (ECS).
• Expert-level proficiency in SQL and Python.
• Strong fundamentals in CI/CD, testing, design patterns, and infrastructure (Docker, Terraform/CloudFormation).
• Business fluent English is required.
