Mechanical Engineer (E3D): Supporting the development and management of 3D mechanical models, engineering drawings, and design data for nuclear-sector projects with an accent on E3D or PDMS, Teamcenter, and configuration control. Focus on integrating mechanical designs within multidisciplinary teams, preparing regulated engineering deliverables, and maintaining quality across high-integrity systems.

Location: Derby, United Kingdom; hybrid work with on-site attendance twice per week. BPSS clearance is required or must be obtained.

What you will do

• Produce and modify 3D models and engineering drawings using E3D or PDMS.
• Manage design data, revisions, and configuration control in Teamcenter PLM.
• Support mechanical design development under the guidance of senior engineers.
• Prepare technical documentation and engineering design deliverables.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure design integration.
• Follow quality and configuration-management processes in a regulated environment.

Requirements

• 1–5 years of relevant engineering experience.
• Practical experience with E3D or PDMS and working knowledge of Teamcenter PLM.
• Understanding of mechanical engineering fundamentals, strong attention to detail, and configuration discipline.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent military experience.
• Ability to work on site in Derby twice per week.
• BPSS clearance eligibility is required.

Nice to have

• Experience in nuclear, power generation, or other safety-critical industries.
• Knowledge of ONR safety principles, INPO guidance, or similar regulatory frameworks.
