What you will do
- Design and implement high-availability messaging solutions using IBM MQ on z/OS.
- Monitor MQ environments, perform proactive troubleshooting, and apply tuning techniques to reduce latency.
- Manage security protocols, including user access controls, encryption, and industry compliance.
- Support Disaster Recovery (DR) processes to ensure business continuity.
- Collaborate with application development teams to integrate MQ messaging into business services.
- Develop comprehensive technical documentation and identify automation opportunities for operational efficiency.
Requirements
- 3+ years of hands-on experience supporting IBM MQ in z/OS environments.
- Proficiency in MQ administration and systems programming on the z/OS platform.
- Strong knowledge of MQ Security on z/OS, RESLEVEL implementation, and security exits.
- Must be based in or able to work in a hybrid capacity in Toronto, ON.
Nice to have
- Experience supporting MQ on non-z/OS (distributed) platforms.
- Knowledge of CICS, IMS, and DB2 interfaces with MQ.
- Experience with external security interfaces such as RACF or TopSecret.
- Familiarity with MQ monitoring and support products.
