Systems Operations Specialist

Location: Toronto, Canada; hybrid work with at least 3 days per week in the office

Salary: $84,000–$115,000 base pay annually, plus annual bonus or commission, equity, and benefits.

What you will do

• Lead technical operations and application support for global platforms and services.
• Manage incidents for internal and external customers and maintain 24/7 system reliability.
• Design, plan, and deploy changes to existing systems.
• Improve testing, deployment, and operational processes through automation.
• Maintain operational documentation and procedures for second-line support and knowledge transfer.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent practical experience.
• At least 3 years of experience in DevOps, system administration, application operations, or related technical areas.
• Strong AWS and cloud architecture expertise with hands-on Linux/Unix experience.
• Experience designing and implementing CI/CD pipelines with Git or GitLab, Terraform, and Kubernetes, including EKS or EKS-A.
• Excellent written and spoken English required, including collaboration across global teams.

Nice to have

• AWS certifications such as Solutions Architect or SysOps Administrator.
• Scripting and automation experience.
• Experience with 24/7 operations in capital markets, fintech, or regulated industries.
