What you will do

• Lead mechanical design and CAD development for test sockets, thermal heads, and loading mechanisms for validation platforms.
• Perform tolerance stack-up analysis to manage TIM bond-line thickness and prevent die cracking or reliability degradation.
• Develop compliant mechanical designs, including springs and flexures, to absorb manufacturing tolerances.
• Design manufacturable internal fluid geometries, micro-channels, and jet-impingement manifolds.
• Drive Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and collaborate with supply-chain teams to define build processes.
• Select CTE-matched materials to minimize package and fixture warpage during temperature excursions.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (3-5 years exp) or Master's/PhD (2-3 years exp) in a related field.
• Strong experience in precision hardware, semiconductor test infrastructure, or high-tolerance assemblies.
• Proficiency with 3D CAD tools such as NX, SolidWorks, or Creo.
• Solid understanding of materials, CTE mismatch, and contact mechanics.
• Must be eligible to access export-controlled information as defined under U.S. export control laws (EAR).

Nice to have

• Experience with semiconductor test sockets, handlers, or thermal head assemblies.
• Exposure to fluid-integrated mechanical designs and precision machining limitations.
• Experience supporting prototype bring-up, lab validation, and production ramp.
