What you will do

• Own the end-to-end design of Photonic ICs, including architecture, routing, and schematic capture.
• Collaborate with analog, digital, and packaging teams to ensure product specifications and integration requirements are met.
• Contribute to the design of Silicon Photonic devices and subsystems to enhance the internal PDK.
• Perform physical design and layout tasks using industry-standard tools.
• Analyze performance data to optimize photonic circuits and system integration.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field with 10-15 years of experience, or Master’s/PhD with 5-10 years of experience.
• Strong expertise in complete Silicon Photonics PIC development, including architecture and link-budget development.
• Proficiency in modeling photonic circuits and simulating components using tools like Lumerical, Photon Design, or RSoft.
• Experience with physical design/layout tools such as Cadence, Synopsis, or Mentor.
• Proven ability to perform PIC co-design with ASICs and digital control blocks.
• Must be eligible to access export-controlled information under U.S. export control laws (EAR).
