What you will do

• Lead the scoping, design, and architecture of robust, user-friendly services and features.
• Coach and mentor engineers from entry to senior levels to foster professional growth.
• Jump into hands-on development to support the team during periods of limited bandwidth.
• Partner with product managers and designers to deliver high-impact projects.
• Continuously review and refactor systems to improve performance and scalability.

Requirements

• Must be based in Mexico City.
• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science or a related field.
• At least 7 years of hands-on software development experience with a focus on backend technologies like Java and SQL.
• At least 3 years of experience in a leadership role mentoring engineering teams.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills for working with cross-disciplinary teams.

Nice to have

• Experience with frontend technologies including JavaScript, TypeScript, React, and Webpack.
• Ability to leverage AI tools to enhance team productivity.
