What you will do

• Lead a cross-functional team of frontend/backend engineers, PMs, and QA, driving product innovation and engineering culture.
• Ensure applications are highly scalable and available, handling traffic of up to 1 million unique users per day.
• Drive team growth through mentorship, regular feedback, and recruiting exceptional engineering talent.
• Define team goals (OKRs) and roadmaps in close collaboration with product management and design stakeholders.
• Coordinate with Ranking, Conqueror, and Marketing teams to ensure a cohesive user experience based on ML models.
• Act as an individual contributor for approximately 40-50% of the time, focusing on feature implementation.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Hands-on experience building and implementing backend services and/or frontend applications.
• Proven technical leadership in architecture design, task planning, and code reviews.
• Experience as a people manager with a focus on building a culture of empathy, learning, and mutual respect.
• Must be based in Munich, Germany to accommodate the 50% in-office hybrid requirement.
