TL;DR
Senior Java Engineer (Fintech): Building and maintaining high-quality microservices for core banking customer data systems with an accent on data consistency, high availability, and secure access patterns. Location: Must be based in Romania (Bucharest or Cluj-Napoca). The role offers a flexible hybrid work environment.

What you will do
- Build and maintain high-quality Java Spring Boot microservices.
- Design and evolve REST APIs, domain models, and integration contracts.
- Participate in architecture discussions regarding data models, event flows, and performance.
- Perform code reviews, enforce engineering standards, and coach team members.
- Implement comprehensive testing including unit, integration, functional, and load testing.
- Improve CI/CD pipelines and deployment workflows.
Requirements
- 5+ years of backend development experience in enterprise or distributed systems.
- Strong proficiency in Java and Spring Boot.
- Solid knowledge of REST API design, validation, and contract evolution.
- English: Advanced proficiency required.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or a related field is mandatory.
- Experience with Agile methodologies and modern SDLC practices.
Nice to have
- Experience with microservices architecture.
- Familiarity with Azure DevOps and Docker.
