Underwriter - Trade Credit

hirify.global operates a trade credit insurance business serving commercial and financial institution clients.

What you will do

• Underwrite trade credit business within agreed business plan parameters and underwriting authority.
• Provide operational and administrative support within a small underwriting team.
• Service a portfolio of commercial and financial institution clients and engage with business partners.
• Analyze buyer risks, including country and sector risks, and contribute to portfolio development in Asia.
• Maintain and develop in-house systems and databases.
• Coordinate with the Dubai and London offices and support special projects and ad hoc duties.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of experience in credit insurance, trade finance, or a rating agency as a financial or credit analyst.
• Experience with multi-buyer trade credit insurance programs.
• Knowledge of risk assessment, financial analysis, and interpretation of financial information.
• Good knowledge of regional economies and major geopolitical events affecting the business environment.
• Strong Microsoft Office skills and the ability to learn in-house and third-party systems.
• Excellent organization, prioritization, independent working, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of Excess of Loss and Structured Trade Credit.
