TL;DR
Mechanical Engineer (Networking): Designing and validating mechanical components for high-density network switches with an accent on thermal management and manufacturability. Location: Onsite in Santa Clara, CA, USA
Total Compensation: $220,000–$400,000 (Base salary: $120,000–$180,000)

What you will do
- Design and validate next-generation modules and chassis for high-port-density switches.
- Develop 3D CAD models and detailed drawings using PTC Creo for prototyping and manufacturing.
- Design heat sinks and conduct air flow and thermal testing to support simulations.
- Manage Bill of Materials (BOM) and product changes using Agile PLM tools.
- Collaborate with ECAD teams on PCB placement and coordinate with contract manufacturers on DFM.
- Perform lab-based prototype verification and debug mechanical issues.
Requirements
- BS, MS, or PhD in Mechanical Engineering.
- Must be based in or able to work onsite in Santa Clara, CA, USA.
- Experience with mechanical design for data center computer/network equipment (preferred).
- Proficiency in designing sheetmetal and plastic parts.
- Willingness to travel to Asia and North America as required.
Nice to have
- Experience with PTC Creo and Mechanica (Creo Simulate).
- Knowledge of thermal simulation, air flow testing, or liquid cooling systems.
- Familiarity with PTC Windchill.
