What you will do

• Design and develop high-reliability cable harnesses and interconnect assemblies for ruggedized systems.
• Partner with electrical and mechanical teams to define requirements and ensure design compatibility.
• Perform trade studies, tolerance analyses, and material selection to optimize performance.
• Generate detailed 3D CAD models, 2D drawings, and technical documentation.
• Collaborate with production teams and suppliers to validate designs and support hardware builds.
• Apply industry standards including MIL-STD and IPC Class 2 & 3.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or relevant field required.
• 3-5 years of experience in mechanical design (0-3 years with a Master's degree).
• Proficiency in CAD software and simulation tools like MATLAB.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a government security clearance.
• Strong understanding of applied math, physics, and system-level design.

• Experience with flex circuits or miniaturized connectors.
• Knowledge of system integration and test validation procedures.
• Ability to lead design reviews and mentor junior engineers.
