Location: Onsite in Santa Clara, CA, USA

Total Compensation: $300,000 – $655,000 (Base pay: $180,000 – $275,000)

What you will do

• Develop thermal cooling strategies for next-generation, high-performance switching products.
• Perform complete thermal analysis and design independently using Icepak.
• Support cross-functional teams (hardware, product management) with detailed simulation results and calculations.
• Conduct engineering experimental tests to verify designs and correlate them with computational results.
• Shape the overall thermal strategy for future product iterations.

Requirements

• MS Degree in Mechanical Engineering (Ph.D. preferred).
• Minimum 5 years of professional experience in thermal design using Icepak, FloTHERM, or SmartCFD.
• Experience with high power (>800W) SoC liquid cooling thermal models and system-level analysis.
• Proficiency in numerical modeling based on Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) and Finite Element Analysis (FEA).
• Deep knowledge of heat transfer modes and electronic cooling challenges within data center environments.
• Must be based in or able to work onsite in Santa Clara, CA.

Nice to have

• Experience using ProEngineer (PTC Creo).
