What you will do

• Perform component and system-level thermal analysis and simulation.
• Design thermal solutions for both air-cooled and liquid-cooled products.
• Design mechanical components, platform enclosures, and circuit board layouts.
• Draft 2D drawings and manage BOM structures within PDM systems.
• Collaborate with suppliers and manufacturers to address DFM feedback.
• Conduct hands-on prototype builds, mechanical assembly, and quality inspections.

Requirements

• BS in Mechanical Engineering with 7+ years of experience (or MS with 5+ years, or PhD with 2+ years).
• Proven experience in thermal and mechanical design for data center equipment.
• Proficiency with thermal analysis and CFD simulation tools.
• Experience designing circuit board layouts, sheet metal parts, and mechanical components.
• Strong understanding of air and liquid cooling design and thermal testing.
• Must be able to work onsite in San Jose, CA.

Nice to have

• Experience with Creo Elements/Direct.
• Familiarity with PTC Arena (PDM) and ECO processes.
• Knowledge of GD&T standards.
• Experience operating machining equipment and hand tools.
