What you will do

• Develop and maintain the BTCS NYFIX FIX Marketplace and related connectivity products.
• Manage the full software development lifecycle, from product specification and design to implementation and testing.
• Build and optimize high-performance, low-latency applications for a global community of financial entities.
• Perform rigorous unit testing and performance tuning to ensure high throughput.
• Provide level 3 production support, including infrequent on-call assistance outside normal business hours.

Requirements

• Must be based in the Vancouver area, Canada.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
• At least 8 years of experience in C++ on Linux/Unix.
• Deep expertise in multi-threaded programming and high-performance application development.
• Proficiency in Linux/Unix environments, including shell scripting.

Nice to have

• Hands-on experience with FIX engines and FIX application development.
• Experience building order management, order routing, trading, or risk management systems.
• Knowledge of middleware such as TibRV, MQ, 29 West LBM, or Solace.
• Experience with databases (Oracle, Sybase, MySQL) or Core Java.
• Proficiency with Boost or Perl.
