What you will do

• Support the Data Protection Officer to ensure compliance with the Privacy Act, APPs, GDPR, and global internal policies.
• Act as the primary point of contact for privacy queries across Retail, Business, Wholesale, Technology, and Operations teams.
• Provide expert advice on individual rights requests, complex customer complaints, and regulatory escalations.
• Challenge and review data processhirify.global activities, includhirify.global Privacy Impact Assessments (PIAs) and outsourchirify.global risk assessments.
• Assess suspected data breaches, advise on regulatory notifications, and lead remediation activities.
• Develop and deliver privacy trainhirify.global and awareness sessions across the organization.

Requirements

• 3–5+ years of experience in data protection, privacy compliance, or legal advisory.
• Strong understandhirify.global of the Australian Privacy Act, Australian Privacy Principles, and workhirify.global knowledge of GDPR.
• Proven experience with PIAs, data breach management, and vendor due diligence.
• University degree in Law or a related field.
• Must be based in Sydney

Nice to have

• Experience within the Financial Services industry.
• Privacy certifications such as CIPP or CIPM.
• Familiarity with AI governance, security, and IT ecosystems.
