What you will do

• Design electronics hardware schematics, PCB layouts, and Bills of Materials.
• Develop new technologies and products to meet cost, schedule, and performance goals.
• Conduct electronics hardware-level integration and testing.
• Support technical project planning, including proposals, cost estimates, and technical interface meetings.
• Ensure full traceability between customer requirements and system specifications.
• Develop engineering test requirements and unit/subsystem/system test plans.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or a related technical degree.
• 3 years of experience in electronics hardware design and development.
• Experience designing PCB boards involving microprocessors and data communication.
• Must have access to U.S. export-controlled information.
• Must be based in or able to relocate to Blacksburg, VA for onsite work.

Nice to have

• Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or related technical field.
• Familiarity with optical systems and design.
• Experience in control systems analysis and design.
