TL;DR

Group Director, HR M&A (HR/M&A): Leading global HR strategy for mergers, acquisitions, and divestitures with an accent on due diligence, organizational design, and integration execution. Focus on scaling HR M&A capabilities and managing complex workforce transitions in the computational software and semiconductor sectors.

Location: Ideally based in San Jose, California, but other locations or remote work may be considered

Salary: $210,000 – $390,000

What you will do

  • Lead HR M&A strategy and execution for mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, and joint ventures.
  • Develop and optimize HR M&A operating models, playbooks, governance, and metrics.
  • Partner with executives on transaction strategy, organizational design, and integration risk assessment.
  • Manage end-to-end HR due diligence, Day 1 readiness, and synergy planning.
  • Coordinate cross-functional and cross-regional teams including Legal, Finance, and IT.
  • Drive talent selection, leadership assessment, and retention strategies to ensure business continuity.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree and 12+ years of progressive corporate HR experience.
  • 8+ years of specialized HR M&A experience, including due diligence and integration planning.
  • Deep expertise in organizational design, talent management, and change management.
  • Proven track record of leading cross-functional teams in fast-paced, global environments.
  • Strong business and financial acumen within the software or semiconductor industries.
  • Exceptional executive presence and communication skills.
