HR Group Director M&A

Location: Ideally based in San Jose, California; other locations or remote work may be considered.

Annual salary: $189,000–$351,000 in California, plus potential bonus, equity, and benefits.

What you will do

• Lead HR strategy and execution for mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, joint ventures, and other strategic transactions.
• Build and scale the HR M&A operating model, including playbooks, governance, tools, and metrics.
• Partner with executives and deal teams on organization design, talent, culture, rewards, labor considerations, and integration risk.
• Lead HR due diligence, Day 1 readiness, synergy planning, integration, and separation execution.
• Coordinate cross-functional and cross-regional teams across HR, Legal, Finance, IT, Payroll, external advisers, and business leadership.
• Drive talent selection, leadership assessment, retention, employee transitions, onboarding, and stakeholder communications.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree and 12+ years of progressive experience in corporate HR, HR consulting, or related roles.
• 8+ years of HR M&A experience across due diligence, deal execution, integration, or separation planning in domestic and international transactions.
• Deep expertise in organization design, talent management, employee relations, compensation and benefits, change management, and workforce transitions.
• Experience leading complex global programs, cross-functional teams, senior decision-making, and external advisers.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, business, and financial acumen, including knowledge of computational software and semiconductor sectors.
• Excellent communication skills, executive presence, cultural awareness, and judgment in complex, fast-moving environments.
