Principal Validation and Hardware Design Engineer (Semiconductors)

Salary: $150,680 - $225,700 per annum

What you will do

• Lead the generation, review, and refinement of bring-up and validation plans for semiconductor products.
• Create comprehensive test plans and prepare internal test result documentation.
• Collaborate with Design, FW, and Validation teams to debug issues and identify root causes.
• Guide and mentor professional individuals within the Validation team.
• Execute validation plans and independently develop validation strategies.
• Partner with chip designers and system engineers to rigorously identify and resolve product bugs.

Requirements

• Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering with 8+ years of experience, or PhD with 5+ years of experience.
• Technical silicon validation experience, specifically in SERDES and high-speed interface design.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in a project lead role.
• Proficiency in Python for developing test scripts.
• Must be eligible to access export-controlled information under U.S. export control laws (EAR).
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of Matlab for mathematical programming.
• Ability to review and debug PCB schematics.
• Familiarity with IEEE 802.3 and Common Electrical Interface physical layer specifications.
• Expertise in high-speed I/O, Transceivers, Transmitters, or Receivers.
