What you will do

• Identify, prioritize, and implement continuous improvement projects in upholstery, cutting, and sewing.
• Develop and deploy lean manufacturing strategies across work cells (e.g., standardized work, kaizen, problem-solving, 5S, value stream mapping, heijunka, jidoka, TPM).
• Review scrap products, process failures, and customer claims; initiate upholstery and textile process improvements.
• Document design changes and ensure parts/drawings are delivered according to the Bill of Materials and drawings.
• Lead implementation of process improvements that improve safety, product quality, and reduce costs; support manufacturing throughput.
• Partner with quality and product development to implement engineering change notices and new product lines.

Requirements

• Mechanical Engineering or Industrial Engineering degree (or equivalent).
• Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and translate information into actionable solutions.
• Ability to manage, prioritize, and balance multiple projects.
• Advanced MS Office skills (Excel, Word, Outlook, Projects, PowerPoint).

Nice to have

• Knowledge of textiles and upholstery processes.
• Experience with coding or analytics automation platforms (Microsoft Access, Alteryx, Ignition).
• Knowledge of sewing machines, pattern creation, and Lectra software.
