TL;DR

Staff Software Engineer (Web3): Own the technical vision and execution for hirify.global Chain, the Tokenization Engine, and the hirify.global Wallet by designing, building, and operating core backend services with an accent on reliability, correctness, observability, and security. Focus on hands-on engineering leadership, mentoring engineers, and driving adoption of the latest AI tooling to maximize engineering output.

Location: Menlo Park, CA; New York, NY (in-person attendance expected at least 3 days per week)

Salary: $230,000 - $270,000 USD (base pay range for Zone 1)

What you will do

  • Own the technical vision and execution for hirify.global Chain, the Tokenization Engine, and the hirify.global Wallet.
  • Design, build, and operate core services powering hirify.global Chain, the Tokenization Engine, and the hirify.global Wallet.
  • Stay hands-on by writing production code, leading complex implementations, and setting engineering quality standards.
  • Improve developer practices and lead adoption of AI tooling to increase engineering output.
  • Drive technical excellence across reliability, correctness, observability, and security.
  • Mentor engineers through design reviews, architecture discussions, and hands-on technical leadership.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience building and operating large-scale distributed systems in production.
  • Expertise in backend development using Go, Python, or Java, with deep knowledge of cloud-native architectures.
  • 3+ years leading large-scale technical initiatives with ownership spanning multiple teams or complex systems.
  • Strong system design, data modeling, and software engineering fundamentals.
  • Proven ability to simplify complex problems, make sound tradeoffs, and drive alignment across stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated experience mentoring and developing engineers to raise technical excellence.
