What you will do

• Lead the technical vision and roadmap for Pilot, the internal A/B testing and experimentation platform.
• Design and evolve scalable architecture for high-volume data processing and analysis pipelines.
• Mentor and guide engineers, fostering a culture of technical excellence and customer empathy.
• Collaborate with Product Managers, Data Scientists, and Designers to integrate AI-driven insights into the platform.
• Drive cross-team initiatives across the Product Platform to ensure system cohesion and performance.
• Solve complex challenges related to latency, reliability, and concurrency in a distributed cloud environment.

Requirements

• Extensive experience developing distributed web applications on the JVM (Java, Scala, or Kotlin).
• Deep knowledge of computer science fundamentals, including concurrency, data structures, and distributed systems.
• Experience working in large-scale distributed cloud environments, preferably AWS.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to facilitate collaboration across diverse technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Proven track record of mentoring engineers and fostering positive team relationships.
• Experience with large distributed data processing systems and strong SQL/data modeling skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with cloud-native technologies such as Kubernetes and Terraform.
• Foundational understanding of statistical concepts like randomization, inference, and power analysis.
• Curiosity and practical interest in applying AI to experiment design and automated analysis.
