What you will do

• Design and implement robust backend software for real-time and archive trading data processing.
• Translate high-level architecture into detailed technical specifications and production-quality code.
• Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks using profiling tools and log analysis.
• Collaborate with global cross-functional teams to ensure data accuracy and system resilience.
• Contribute to technical design reviews, project estimates, and CI/CD integration.
• Provide expertise on technology trends to drive competitive advantage.

Requirements

• Must have Australian citizenship or permanent residency status.
• 6+ years of software development experience with strong core Java expertise.
• Proven experience working in a Linux environment.
• Experience with network programming (TCP/UDP) and low-level data processing (byte-level encoding/decoding).
• Ability to work with large datasets and complex data structures.
• Proficiency in Linux scripting and tools like Git, JIRA, and IntelliJ.

Nice to have

• Experience in financial markets or trade surveillance environments.
• Familiarity with AWS or comparable cloud platforms.
• Understanding of SaaS platforms and private cloud architecture.
