What you will do

• Administer and operate IBM Power and IBM i environments.
• Manage LPARs, virtualization, HMC, and VIOS.
• Ensure infrastructure remains in operational condition (MCO/RUN) with high availability constraints.
• Perform installations, upgrades, and maintenance of IBM i systems and related components.
• Handle system monitoring, alerting, and incident resolution.
• Drive security hardening, compliance, and automation of operating tasks.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in IBM i / Power infrastructure.
• Strong expertise in IBM i (AS/400) system administration.
• Solid knowledge of IBM Power architecture, LPAR, HMC, and VIOS.
• Operational knowledge of production environments with 24/7 constraints.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in IT, Systems, or Infrastructure (or equivalent experience).

Nice to have

• Experience with PowerHA and backup/recovery strategies on IBM i.
• Scripting skills in CL, Shell, or Python.
• Exposure to IBM i modernization initiatives.
• Experience working in financial or regulated environments.
