What you will do
- Architect, design, and test complex mixed-signal system-on-chip (SoC) and FPGA solutions for qubit interfacing.
- Generate precise and reliable control signals required to drive and read qubit states.
- Perform signal integrity analysis and optimization for qubit chips to ensure peak performance.
- Apply electromagnetic (EM) modeling and simulation tools for signal integrity and crosstalk analysis.
- Collaborate with software, algorithms, and qubit development teams to create integrated solutions.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree (4+ years exp), Master's (3+ years exp), or PhD (1+ year exp) in Electrical Engineering or related field.
- Experience with RF/analog/mixed-signal circuit tape-out in advanced process technology and lab testing.
- Experience with the silicon prototyping flow including design, validation, layout, and tape-out.
- Expertise in mixed-signal systems and blocks such as LNAs, Mixers, PAs, PLLs, VCOs, ADCs, and DACs.
- Proficiency in EM modeling and simulation for high-speed on-chip/on-package interconnects.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States.
Nice to have
- High-level system design and validation using behavioral models (Matlab, Verilog, Veriloga, System Verilog).
- Strong DSP and signal processing skills.
- Prior experience in quantum computing, specifically with spin qubits.
- Hands-on experience with dilution refrigerators and room lab-grade control electronics.
