What you will do

• Serve as the lead consultant on managed care and payer strategy engagements for diverse healthcare providers.
• Conduct comprehensive assessments of payer agreements and develop strategic recommendations to improve financial outcomes.
• Lead negotiations with national and regional commercial health plans, including fee schedules and value-based arrangements.
• Collaborate with analytics teams to develop financial models and interpret complex reimbursement data.
• Drive business development efforts, including sales presentations, proposal development, and client relationship management.
• Mentor junior team members and contribute to the development of best practices within the Managed Care practice.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business, Finance, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
• 10–12+ years of progressive experience in managed care, payer contracting, or healthcare consulting.
• Proven track record of leading negotiations with national and regional commercial health plans.
• Strong experience presenting findings and strategic recommendations to executive leadership and boards.
• Deep expertise in healthcare reimbursement methodologies and payer operations.
• Must be able to work onsite in Nashville, TN.

Nice to have

• Experience working for a national commercial health plan or large national provider organization.
• Knowledge of value-based care, risk-based contracting, and alternative payment models.
• Experience supporting mergers, acquisitions, and strategic growth initiatives.
• Active memberships in professional associations such as HFMA, AMGA, or MGMA.
