What you will do

• Lead mechanical design for water and wastewater treatment assets including pumping stations and sludge-handling systems.
• Produce and review technical deliverables such as P&IDs, specifications, and equipment schedules.
• Coordinate with process, civil, and electrical engineering teams on multi-disciplinary projects.
• Provide site support during installation, commissioning, and testing phases.
• Mentor junior engineers and promote best practices in digital engineering and design quality.
• Ensure all designs comply with CDM regulations, ISO 9001, and UK water industry standards.

Requirements

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent required.
• Chartered Engineer (CEng) status or working toward Chartership required.
• Significant experience in mechanical design within the UK water or wastewater sector.
• Strong technical proficiency in AutoCAD and Solidworks.
• Deep understanding of UK water industry standards such as WIMES and BS EN.
• Proven capability in leading multi-disciplinary project teams.
