Associate Underwriter

Location: Boston, MA; hybrid schedule with in-office work 3 days per week. Up to 15% travel within the United States.

Salary: $59,120–$88,677.50 annually, plus potential incentive compensation.

What you will do

• Complete instructor-led, self-study, and on-the-job training to develop underwriting knowledge.
• Assess insurance risk and support decisions on appropriate rate levels.
• Identify and communicate trends that support key financial measures.
• Analyze data, facts, and other information to support underwriting work.
• Build relationships with mentors, senior leaders, and colleagues across the organization.

Requirements

• Be a college senior with an anticipated graduation date of May 2027.
• Major in Risk Management, Economics, Finance, Business, Accounting, or Mathematics, with a minimum GPA of 3.0.
• Demonstrate strong comfort with math and numbers.
• Have strong analytical, creative problem-solving, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Be legally authorized to work in the United States without employment-based sponsorship now or in the future.

Nice to have

• Experience with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft PowerPoint.
• Comfort exploring emerging technologies and using AI-powered tools to find innovative solutions.
