What you will do
- Manage customer accounts and day-to-day durable medical equipment service operations.
- Provide instruction on the appropriate use and application of orthopedic products, including bracing and supports.
- Verify patient benefits, support pre-authorization, and collect patient responsibility when required.
- Evaluate clinic needs, optimize DME inventory programs, track orders, and investigate inventory issues.
- Coordinate between customers, , sales representatives, and field service teams.
- Follow healthcare regulations, HIPAA, OIG requirements, and applicable compliance and ethics policies.
Requirements
- At least four years of direct patient care experience, preferably in orthopedics, physical therapy, athletic training, or a related field.
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field and demonstrated patient care experience.
- Experience working with multiple physicians in a high-volume clinic.
- Experience applying soft goods and functional bracing, plus inventory management programs and/or EMRs.
- Valid driver’s license, current automobile insurance, and successful completion of hospital credentialing and screening requirements.
- Active applicable professional credentials, such as Athletic Training licensure, BOC, ABC Certified Fitter-orthotics, PTA certification, or a related credential.
