TL;DR

Senior Electronics System Engineer (Aerospace): Developing Flight Control Computers, Actuator Control Units, and Motor Control Electronics for military aircraft with an accent on electronic design leadership and verification. Focus on translating systems requirements into hardware specifications and creating detailed V&V plans for certification.

Location: Hybrid – Torrance, CA (3 days/week in office). Must have access to US export-controlled information.

Salary: $150,000–$200,000 Annually

What you will do

  • Lead the conceptual and detailed design of electronics boxes including FCCs, ACUs, and MCEs.
  • Develop verifiable box-level requirements and translate them into hardware specifications.
  • Create and execute detailed Verification and Validation (V&V) plans and procedures.
  • Perform hardware and software integration and lead performance anomaly investigations.
  • Support technical project planning, including cost estimates, schedules, and design reviews.
  • Represent the company as a technical authority in communications with customers and stakeholders.

Requirements

  • BS Degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • 10+ years of design and development engineering work experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in the design and analysis of electromechanical systems.
  • 5+ years of project or team leadership experience.
  • Proficiency with military standards: MIL-STD-461, MIL-STD-704, MIL-STD-810, and RTCA/DO-254.
  • Must have legal authorization to access US export-controlled information.

Nice to have

  • MS Degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • Direct experience in the Aerospace industry.
  • Experience with aircraft actuation controllers and actuator sensor interfaces.
  • Expertise in requirement flow down and certification processes.
