What you will do

  • Oversee daily plant operations and ensure the safety of all operating staff and contractors.
  • Coordinate day-to-day activities and directly supervise day shift operations employees, including performance coaching.
  • Manage the updating of the Training program, SOPs, and operator logs.
  • Prioritize and ensure completion of CMMS Preventative maintenance system work orders.
  • Direct corrective actions and coordinate personnel during emergency or unusual operational situations.
  • Manage the receipt of waste and daily activities in the facility's tipping floor area.

Requirements

  • Must be based in or able to work onsite in Lorton, VA, USA.
  • 5-7 years of experience in power or resource recovery plant operations.
  • Hands-on experience with high-pressure boilers and electric generation equipment.
  • ASME QRO Site Specific Operator Certification (required or obtainable within 6 months of hire).
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Physical ability to work at heights, in confined spaces, and lift up to 50lbs.
